The Absinthe Experience
Here at eurotrip, we serve only the finest 150 proof spirit derived from the flowers and leaves of the herb Artemisia absinthium, (a.ka. wormwood).
"The Green Fairy" is bottled at a high proof and has traditionally been served with some form of sugar and diluted with a bit of water.
At eurotrip, we follow the most time-honored presentation ritual of placing a sugar cube on an “Absinthe spoon” atop a snifter glass. We then pour the spirit over the cube, lighting it on fire. The heat causes the cube to dissolve into the glass. Water can subsequently be added to the glass by the lucky patron to create varying levels of alcohol concentration.
The end result is delicious, unique and unforgettable. That is, of course, unless you have one too many.
